I do wish I had my camera on all the time, cause it's never on when I need it... I launched myself out of the ramp between 294 and 290 one day, there was a truck ahead so I moved to the next lane, he swerved into that lane so I looked and moved into the 3rd lane, he then moved into the third lane too which put me near his rear cab wheel on the shoulder... at that point he started to bring his cab onto the left land shoulder so I slammed on my brakes and waited to see if I hit the wall but the car stopped perfectly straight... swerved around the other side of the truck, no company name but I got his ICC number so I called there and got the company name and number and called them... they weren't interested... -- John Nelson ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chicago Area Paddling/Fishing Page http://www.chicagopaddling.org http://www.chicagofishing.org (A Non-Commercial Web Site: No Sponsors, No Paid Ads and Nothing to Sell)

First, the "Old Dominion" truck wiggled as it did because that is the nature of "doubles". Most likely because the driver was looking in his mirror at the time. Do note the narrow lanes. Those are not the required 12 foot lanes. I got stopped in Tennessee partly because the trooper had seen my little trailer move onto the white line of the shoulder. Well duhhh. When you've got a vehicle 8.5ft wide and a lane 10 ft wide, it's damn difficult to keep it in the lane.

You? You're just scum that doesn't deserve to share the road with trucks. The least you could do is to wait patiently while he completes his pass over the course of the next 5 minutes. Until he hits that hill, where he'll slow down to match the other truck's speed. Then you're really screwed.
