And, IIRC there are exceptions for various types of recovery vehicles,
certain types of road maintenance vehicle, certain categories of
government/armed forces vehicles, etc.

Only at the camera sites - other roads have the same speeding traffic - if
you are doing less than 85, then you are harassed on the 2 lane M8. There
are no speed cameras on the majority of the M8 between Edinburgh and
Glasgow.
