Go on then. You clearly have some sort of utterly pathetic point to make.

'Road' is the pertinent point here fuckwit (oh look, only 22:00 hrs).

Does the phrase 'man on the Clapham omnibus' mean anything to an idiot like
you?

Swimming in Egypt again? Motorists also pay council and income tax if you
wern't bright enough to realise. And 8 times the cost of road
building/repair.

Gross stupidity - 144 cyclists.

Thre fact that you can cite something "Van Tax" proves (as though proof were
needed) that the government's weasel term "Car Tax" is nonsense, since it
doesn't only apply to cars.

The only widely-used term which makes sense is "road tax".

The tax is a charge - note that I say *a* charge, not *the* charge - for
using a motor vehicle on the roads. There is no tax on ownership of a
vehicle. You could own a hundred and be liable to pay no road tax. You only
have to pay if one or more of them is to be used on a road.

It really isn't difficult. Those who try to make it appear difficult have a
plainly visible agenda.

Which doesn't alter the fact that the amount I pay more than covers the
costs incurred by my use of the road.

Which misses the point that everyone pays general taxes, motorists pay extra
taxes to use the roads. Swimming in Egypt again?
