That's because 50% are on disability and no one is really sure what most of the rest are up to. There's very little crime because no one has anything worth stealing.

The fact that I could sell it for 4 times the equivalent in your part of the country just goes to show there are plenty more people who'd rather live in my town than yours. Supply and demand. I know plenty of people who thought like you and decided it would be a good idea to cash in and move somewhere where houses are cheaper, only to end up with their kids on drugs and very little in the way of opportunities and decent facilities.
