The point is that many whingers seem to have short memories.

It doesn't affect it if you're paid above it however if you are on NMW, the annual increases have been above inflation. In Bridlington if NMW didn't exist they'd still be paying 2/hr. When it came in, many of the working population in the town got a 100% pay increase. NMW along with WTC are two of the good things to come out of labour. -- Conor I'm not prejudiced. I hate everyone equally.

I hate everyone equally. Yes both my 316i and MGF (1.8) can attain 45mpg on long haul steady 60mph, but generally run out aroun 32-35 mpg (peri-urban) yes thay are both petrol and ytheMGF is 10 years old with 1995 technology and the 316 is 7 years old with around 1998 technology, if I could afford to replace either I would but in the present financial times saddling myself with debt is not going to happen. I did have a 120d Sport for 3 weeks as a courtesy car last year when some numpty in a Lexus drove into the back of the MG. it seemed to get around 50mpg and even although it was a diesel it was no slouch. Pity they cost around 20 000. Nkosi |
