His number was COM 1C. First saw it on a white Mulliner convertible
Bentley - the Chinese eye one - in the '60s. Saw the same number years
later on a very mundane car - _Metro or something - on Kingston Hill.

Or keep them.
My son has one in the form of ABC 123. Came on an MG Metro he bought over 20
years ago. The car was a fair price even without it's number plate. He chose
to keep the plate when he sold it a year or so later. AIUI it's now worth
well over �1000. If times get hard he can always sell it.
