Do us all a favor and make sure you *always* drive without your
seatbelt on. Preferablly on high speed expressways or behind a 747
that is starting its take off roll.

And accidents have happened where seat belts killed. Had they not been
wearing seat belts, they would have survived. Now I'm sure these accidents
are rare, but they do happen.

I'm not going to say it's not possible, because some vehicles just
aren't designed with real people in mind. Case in point, my '93 Ford
pickup truck; I'm 5'11" tall and always need to turn my collar up to
keep my neck from getting chafed on the shoulder harness. I have no
idea how a person of smaller stature could comfortably drive it.

That's not an issue with seatbelts in general, it's an issue with the
shitty design of that particular body.

I like the exemption for farmers. It lets you know that, 'Yes, we still
have to kiss up to powerful voting blocks'.

And you know that they would have survived just how?

The overall savings of life cannot be questioned. Seat belts save
lives. We have all heard the idiotic (yours amongst them) arguments
against. Did you forget the "what if I wind up in the water?
