Forgot to mention the 5+ earthquakes we have every couple of years too. 6.2
was the last one and 2 weeks before that a 5.2 Surprises me that the rock
block holds up so well. The shed that work is in was an aircraft hanger and
it holds up well except that the flex does cause leaks in the roof.

The earthquake map for that area does look a little messy with some quite
close to you. We do get some shakes here but they are from quakes in the
Banda Sea about 700km to the North which get felt quite strongly around
here. Of more concern, but little mention of it happens, is that the fault
line that produced the Indonesian tsunami sweeps down around between us and
Timor and there have been fears that eventually there could be similar
quakes much closer to here.

I assume that the hanger you mention in on the old airstrip still shown on
the Google Earth view. It looks quite funny with a road roundabout in the
middle of it. Although it's way out of date I gather that there is an
alternative airport these days.

Nazdab is 45 minutes or so down the highway, nasty road that one as it is
one of the more hazardous drives in the country.
The hanger was relocated to the position in my sig.
