Because most people with a high IQ and an enquiring mind would be bored
shitless doing manual work for a single day , never mind a lifetime.

It's sure from your reply that you know little about the trucking
industry, it has many many boring jobs just like any office does but
there are some that tax the brain and ingenuity, I know of one doctor
and two lawyers who gave up their professions to go trucking in the
seventies.

It matters not what you do for a living as long as you find it
absorbing and challanging, sadly many who have better ability settle
for the mundane.

Really? So they'd be bored travelling around, seeing different parts of
the country, meeting different people, resolving challenges that present
themselves?

Only someone who has never done the job can claim you don't need a
certain amount of intelligence, mainly for problem solving and ingenuity.

I'm not prejudiced. I hate everyone equally.

I'm sure there are trucking jobs just like you describe. But what percentage?
I doubt many of the guys driving supermarket trucks and spending their non
driving time sitting in a depot are particularly fullfilled.
