They continue. They are just paid with proceeds from the Fair Tax.

NO! They will not continue. The corporate media and the capitalist
overlords will destroy these social insurance systems very quickly. The
only thing that has kept the Social Security system from being destroyed
is that it is, in fact, a government mandated SAVINGS program that is
paid ONLY by wage earners. As such, the OWNERS of the means of
production cannot cheat the common people out of it. They are already
balking at paying back the money they borrowed from the SS Trust Fund and
proposing ANY AND ALL "reforms" that will erase that debt.

Social Security is not a savings program.

The problem with socialism is there's always
someone with less ability and more need.

You are entitled to your opinion. I don't accept it as valid and neither
should anyone else with a brain. We pay FICA taxes into an account from
which we will receive later benefits. That is not really much different
than a true personal account but for the fact that the return on savings
are better for those who earned smaller salaries (thus were unable to
contribute a great deal) then those who earned large salaries. The basic
concept is, nonetheless, very similar to a savings system.
