Hope this isn't too off topic.

I'm not sure if I'm turning into a snail but in this weather my steering
wheel gets horribly sticky.

I don't suppose you can help me with my metamorphosing into a snail problem
but does anybody have a good steering wheel cleaning method. Flash liquid
seems to leave it just as sticky as before.

I've used windscreen wipes in the past which do quite well, but they
can make the wheel a little more slippery. Perhaps an abrasive like
cif would be better?

Using a dish cloth (now relegated to floor cloth) with a bowl of water with
washing up liquid and keep going until all the gunge is off the wheel worked
for me.

Thanks to both for your replies. I'll go for the washing up liquid first.
