Whatever happened to the local copper going to the school once a week giving
the kids road use instructions

Dunno, but the local copper giving them a firm clout behind the ear
the first time they got caught shoplifting is another effective
training method that has sadly (long) gone by the wayside.

Now, primary school teachers are expected to instil everything from
values to social behaviour, and this to a horde who no longer show any
respect for their elders or society in general. Parents need to lift
their game big time.

school age.

I had occasion to try instilling some kwoledge into several young blokes
in a trade , it was glaringly obvious they had no respect for them
selves and little for me initially
Once it was explained things should go my way or they failed the
course and lost the chance to redo it for some time things improved
which begs the question why were they so hell bent on being stupid ?
I was pretty wild at that age but I had an understanding of respect
and acceptable behaviour including not swearing or being an arsehole in
class
If these kids are a product of modern high schools then bring back the
cane and other forms of smashing them into shape
