OTOH, Pilots believing their eyes and ears over what their instuments
were telling them has also caused numerous crashes (from
"spatial disorientation").

Oh yeah ? Btw, how does the "autopilot" as you entertainingly refer to it
communicate with ATC about taxiways to use, various clearances, holding in a
