Since gasoline is fungible and the manner in which it is distributed
combined with that the boycotters are not using any less of it, it's a
pointless boycott.
Corporate BP is going to make money either way. Sure the corporately
owned gas stations wouldn't make as much money or even lose money but
the gasoline would just be wholesaled out to the other brand's stations.
It's not like BP is going to let their share at the other end of the
pipe go bad. They'll sell it and another company will add their additive
packages and take it to their stations. Basically the only people who
could be hurt by this boycott are any remaining independents or
francises selling BP gasoline and those with jobs at the BP corporate
gas stations. BP will just weather it or maybe shutter some gas
stations.

We tend to fill ours at one of the Walmarts that have a Murphy USA on the
property, or a Sam's that has gas (which not all of them do in metro
Houston, as our closest one closed a couple of months ago, making for a
two-mile farther trip to the one at Westpark and South Rice).

Funny you should ask: ISP is searching around Peoria for wife #4, Drew
is in jail with an upcoming trial for wife #3.
