So he is, and probably didn't ought have a licence to drive but it

that particular Toyota apologist might like us to believe.

Gotta wonder how long it would take a competent driver to realise the
problem and take the appropriate action... way too long for some
situations would be my guess.

Even if you were expecting it, I reckon a good distance would pass. You'd be
preoccupied with not hitting anything :-) with no time to talk on the phone.
Be an interesting experiment for driver reaction, a controlled test with a
passenger or remote control device to create a WOT condition at any moment.
