Maybe 500 years. I'd re-evaluate if we haven't figured out
practical fusion or some other power solution in 250 years.

Of course, there's plenty of estimates for oil running out that are
far less than that; I'm not arguing for any particular number in this
post; I'm just arguing that the particular number is important.
