He wanted to be known as a freelance plumber. It was actually part of a
holistic defence strategy to explain how he'd been caught with a snorkel
and flippers in serveral homeowners septic tanks without their prior
knowledge or consent.

You give someone a quote for a job

considering it's all imaginary, the imaginary quote didn't need to cover
imaginary work performed, only real work. so a blank invoice maybe? I
bet that Oz has empty showcases at home, even a trophy room full of uch
shelves and cases. All of them empty, showcasing his current
achievements.

Last place I worked the new T*r*g* was booked in for its free service & 3
days later I got a please explain from my boss for an invoice he'd
received for around $180 for oil, filter and labour for an optional oil
change. He refused to pay it and I said well I'm not going to because I
didn't request it and was never informed it was happening. In the end it
got torn up.

Not quite Billy. That was the *possible outcome*. Not how they are.

Nice try though. Again :)

I don't know about these days, but every car that came in for a first
service in those days got a "free" oil & filter change, with the "free bit"
being the labour. The oil was marked up at around 800%.

Times have changed then.

Jeez....

I know I harp on about irony around here at times, but if *ever* there was a
case of it being the size of Mt. Everest this is it right here :)
