So you're an atheist - that's cool with me - don't feel ashamed about
it, just don't try to distort facts and call others atheists who are not.
But of course such protests help prove my point that you are just as
religious as all the others who DO believe in God(s).

I do not accept that definition. I am an atheist and, therefore, can
argue about its definition.

No, we do not. Dictionaries are written by (and are spun by) the
dictionary writers. Belief, where it comes to deities (or lack thereof)
comes down to faith. Atheists, by defintion, have none.

"the": Root word part, meaning "god".
"theism": Belief in "god".
a- : prefix meaning "lack of" or "no".

Put the together and we have:

atheism: lack of belief in god or no belief in god.

Simple etymology.

Simple. We have none where it comes to deities.

You wish.

Strong atheists, such as myself, do not believe in gods and I know, for
a fact, that the gods as defined by man do not exist.

Weak atheists, on the other hand, just don't believe without the
statement that follows.

Actually, we're dogmatic about one thing. And that is to make sure that
idiots such as yourself are at least able to use the language that
you're speaking correctly.

a-the-ism: "lack of"+"god"+"belief"

Get over it.

Much as many loonies do not accept reality.

Oh my - it's all a big conspiracy, isn't it? Those damned "dictionary
writers".

Do you believe they are the pilots of the black helicopters that circle
your home at all hours of the day and nite too?

Even by your definition, it does not follow that atheists "have none".

Wonderful - now study a little about language - common usage dictates
definoitions.

Tell us why you are so upset about this? It suggests that you are very
religious about such things.

You mean you are agnostic? In fact, it means you are less sure than
agnostics as even agnostics can believe that "god" as defined by
specific religions do not exist.

You could have stopped with "do not believe in gods". But if you are
truly an atheist, you go beyond that and BELIEVE that god(s) do not exist.

Right - whatever you say. It's the same attitude I take towards other
relgious idiots who wish to impose their beliefs on me. How is it that
you are different? Oh that's right - you're NOT.

Can't argue with that. And some are only weak atheists and some are also
strong atheists.

They do not BELIEVE there is a god of any kind

What pleas?

Oh .. was I hyped?

I'm just interested in the truth. An atheist is someone who does not
believe in god (or gods).

> Yep - atheists have a belief that gods do not exist.

Some atheists have a belief that gods do not exist.

Nope. The DO NOT BELIEVE in any god(s).

So not-believing is a religion?

What cites are those?

Nope, A-theists lack belief in any god(s).

The very word means WITHOUT GOD.
