Speeding fine - How do I pay
Been done for speeding. Been sent a letter offering three options: 1. Attend a course costing 65 - 125 2. Pay a fixed penalty of 60 and 3 points 3. Attend court. I want Option 2. but there's no way of asking for it in the letter apart from waiting 14 days for Option 1. to expire. Do I just wait for ... 18 Apr 2010 09:46
Speed cameras cash cows?
Anyone else see major flaws in the conclusions drawn in this article about the drop in the number of tickets issued? "Motorists have been hit with speeding tickets worth almost 1billion under Labour, a report shows. But receipts have fallen since police were stopped from keeping part of the money raised fr... 18 Apr 2010 06:31
recreational driving
I decided to go for a recreational drive last weekend. I've put some photos up if you'd like a look. http://s913.photobucket.com/albums/ac333/BrimstonesTours/Scotland%20April%202010/ I live in the midlands and drove to Lesmahagow truck stop (10-15 mile south of Glasgow) on Friday afternoon/evening where I ha... 18 Apr 2010 15:20
Advantage of V engine over in-line?
Assuming that the engine capacity is the same, is there any advantage of a V4 engine over an in-line engine? Do V engines run more or less smoothly than in-line or boxer (horizontally-opposed) engines? I realise that V engines are often used to reduce the size of engine compartment needed, by reducing the lengt... 16 Apr 2010 19:36

Yet another dangerous car model.
Makes you wonder how many of these dangerous cars are currently still allowed to be in use in the UK, along with all the others with serious faults, doesn't it? Another footway motorist strikes again!
Nowhere is safe from them. Well at least it wasn't a deliberate ramming this time. "A 13-year-old boy was saved from injury by his friend when a car mounted a path in Norfolk, crashed into his bike and failed to stop. The boy was pushing his bike and walking with a friend in Kenninghall Road, Banham, when a Fo... 12 Apr 2010 05:57
What is the most hated car and why?
Hello All, Was wondering what people's most hated cars are (or more precisely most hated drivers of a type of car), in respect to encountering them on the roads. A little while ago, a believe that BMWs were such a group. But perhaps that has been surpassed by Audi drivers or perhaps white van men etc? ... 14 Apr 2010 11:06
