Really? That seems a bit unfair. If I buy a new car and get it serviced down at Calamity Chris's Motors who drops coffee in the sump and the engine blows up why should the manufacturer pay for it to be fixed under warranty? B2003

Apart from the fact that the warranty wouldn't cover that even if it was a main dealer that broke it - it would be the dealer themselves - the legal requirements (google for "Block Exemption") are that the dealer must make tech info available, and that the work must be done to OEM standards using OEM parts & consumables, and must be provable. |
