IIRC there were two different 289 blocks, depending on the bell
housing bolt configuration.
If I'm correct... which particular one you're after and a rough idea
of where you are might help.

There was.

Early 5 bolt bell housing style which was the same as the 260, and the more
common 6 bolt which has the same pattern as most common Ford V8's.

Its an early model Fairlane which had the 289 motor.

I can get back if one of these will fit.
