It's accepted practice, once they stop a driver with a stinger the
windows are smashed to gain access to the car and to distract the
driver, the driver is then dragged physically from the car, sometimes
through the hole where the window used to be.

I'd say the person who removed the driver from the car showed a fair
bit of restraint, probably because he realised the driver was older.

If he had the alleged collision with the policeman why wasn't he
charged or is that included in failing to stop?
Seems to me it's the usual bully boy tactics, nice to see them being
held to account for a change.

Of course, you could just try opening the driver's door and snatching
the car keys (I've seen that done on 'Police - Camera - Action') - but
where's the fun in that?
