: Hi all,
:

Learnt to drive in a Vauxhall Viva (HC) and a Morris Marina Station Wagon (Usually with a trailer on
the back doing dump runs with Dad)

Got licence shortely after 15th Birthday and bought a Hillman SuperMinx 1966 model. Solid unit, paid
$150 for it.

Busted Eh wagon with twin barrel carb and extractors(no exhaust) and
very very vague steering
Busted XM wagon, Pursuit 170, Holly single barrel, much better steering
Much fun in these two bashing about the Woodford Forestry roads, usually
sideways

XR wagon, Woohoo super pursuit 200ci, yawn
VB Commonbore, most uninspiring
XC V8 wagon, mehhh

1948 Ford Mercury flathead V8. Iridescent black, three on the tree, suicide
rear doors, enough room in the back seat to hold a dance.

Bought it in the mid 60's when I was 14 and drove it all over the
countryside :)

Of all the cars I have owned, that is the one I most want back.......

They were a cut above anything BMC made. Mine was a '56 Californian with the
OHV engine,..which was used right thru till the Hunter.
