A red motor with a traumatic would have been a big improvement on a grey
motor and hydromatic but that didn't happen till EH.
The EJ Premier did have a nice interior and some good "kit" for its day
but its biggest problem was it handled like a bus with flat tyres.

Her 3 closest female friends all drive manual cars but their husbands
have auto cars for daily drivers so go figure:-)

GM Marketing masterpiece..
The trick?
The EH was regarded as an inestimably good car by many.
OK, it was just fair...
But, why?
Easy - it was inestimably better than the dog that was EJ.

They pulled the same stunt with HD/HR, by the way.

And still not a disk brake or heater/demister on the base model in sight,
too.
