That's a bit of a problem I've found with this donk. I now
have a manifold gasket in three pieces (still useable) and 44
thousand pieces of cork for the side plate. Luckily I have a
bit of aviation fibre gasket.

I know. I don't think I mentioned that the engine is on two
rusted pieces of chassis, on the ground, tilted sideways. I
will have to stand on my head and use a mirror. I'm kicking
myself for not building a shed as well as a single car garage.

I started out thinking that this engine was a lost cause and I
started stripping it down and getting it turning over to see
what made it tick in preparation for restoring the other three
engines that are in better condition. I think this one may
surprise if things keep going the way they are.
