Thanks Oz. I just wanted to confirmt that with you before I ask a few other
questions.

I did indeed. However I'd like you to answer/confirm a few more questions if
you could as there seems to be some confusion about exactly what you ran.

Just to confirm what you've already mentioned, you claimed to have run spilt
Weber DCOE's using only one venturi from each carb on a "Special Tuning"
head and managed to "tuck it all in under the bonnet" with some kind of
bulge. Now, you've listed a specific manifold part number, and I'd like to
know the following:

Where did you get that number from?
Is that the manifold that you used?
Was your head Cast Iron or aluminium?
Was it an 8 port head?
What camshaft did you run?

If you could answer any or all of these questions with any detail it'll help
confirm exactly what you had and clear things up nicely.

Maybe to you Clocky, but lately you've had all the sense of humour of a
piece of toast.

Speak all you want. I just wondered why your opinion was suddenly relevant.

I've floated a few old klunkers by being inventive, intuitive
and frugal.

What's that old saying?

Necessity and invention.

So you know the pricing of parts and cost of postage from the
USA too. :-)

Early days, more pulling apart to do before I fully commit to
repair or replace. I really do hate making hybrids though.
Original if possible.
