mine had the advantage that it had pretty low klms and good unmarked
paint and was clean inside and everything worked and all the panels
lined up. I've seen some real dogs for $5000 or less

Mate in Bris had his 80series converted a couple of yrs ago, cost him
something like $17,000.00 so not cheap but it was an excellent job.
The work included extending the chassis, the huge tray has built in
toolboxes and a pull out drawer underneath plus a removable canvas top
with roof racks.

No copper, whether in Benalla or elsewhere, regard me as a friend

Is that your fault or theirs?
I knew at least 3 retired cops who I regarded as very good friends,
unfortunately one died of cancer a few years ago and I don't see much of
the other 2 these days.

I was sort of jesting a little Daryl when I said that.
My Brother-in-law was a copper and I had a few friends who I could regard as
friends who were coppers,
I used to get a visit from a couple of coppers every week, they brought with
them, a box of beer and a couple of pizzas.
One of them is now an Inspector somewhere and I heard that he was in my
neighbourhood,
so I went along to search him out and have a few more beers with him, but
the mesage got back to him that I was in town and he bloody well cleared
out.
Maybe he doesn't like me any more.
Maybe he didn't like me in the first place.
