Are all cars autos, then? 99% have their brake lights on when stopped at
lights, etc.

The lights don't bother me. Maybe some people have more sensitive eyes?

Don't bother me much either. Nothing like badly set headlights. Of which
there seem to be a lot around. Apart from motorbikes who seem to insist on
using main beam in town - or setting the dip so it dazzles.

Well if I've got a slight headache and are sitting behind some idiot
with all the brake lights on for a sustained period, I find that it
exacerbates my headache.

Well I admit to having mine on when riding my bike because of drivers
pulling in front of me. It does get me noticed as I ride then I have to say
it does it's job. I do profess to like doing it because of the
inconvenience to other road users who do see me normally. I would like to
have a light fitting that was bright but not dazzling but not seen anything
on the market. Please remember it just takes some blind fool to pull out at
the last moment through not seeing me and my life changes.
