From: Usenet Nutter on 29 Jan 2010 08:33 I know there have been discussions in the past about the benefits of sticking interior mirrors to windscreens rather than using sticky pads but a few minutes ago I had my Mondeo windscreen replaced by Autoglass and before I left the fitter to the job I said " and you'll stick the mirror back on " and he said something like " Yeah,it just pushes off" and it was only as I went back in to the house I wondered about what he had said as the mirror was stuck using some stuff with a piece of mesh I got from Halfords months ago and that was what I used previous time as well ....so anyway when he had the glass fitted I saw him struggling with the mirror and there was a piece of glass he was trying to get off the mount and he was failing miserably and he questioned about it being stuck on .I said the original was stuck on and I stuck it on again when it fell off last time .I said I would sort the mirror and he handed me two sticky pads which at first glance appear "stickier " than any I have seen before so I'll try them first .. I quick pass with my angle grinder and the mount was sorted Anyone had experience of these sticky pads that Autoglass use .
