Drunk driving is just part of latin culture. They see nothing wrong with
it. If this monster had killed someone she'd just shrug "eet was acceedent,

Woman with .708 blood-alcohol level pleads guilty

STURGIS, S.D. (AP) A South Dakota woman who prosecutors say had a blood-
alcohol level almost nine times the legal driving limit has pleaded guilty
to two drunken driving charges. Authorities said 45-year-old Marguerite
Engle was arrested Dec. 1 when she was found passed out behind the wheel of
a stolen delivery van along Interstate 90, with a blood alcohol level at
0.708. The legal limit in South Dakota is 0.08. Officials have said Engle's
blood alcohol level likely is a record for the state.

She was arrested again in late December, with a blood alcohol level more
than 3 1/2 times the legal limit.

Engle faces up to two years in jail when she is sentenced on Feb. 23. In
exchange for her guilty pleas, prosecutors have agreed not to pursue other
charges, including receiving stolen property and drug possession.

I think the SD cops need a new BAC machine.
She'd be the first person on record to be alive and talking to the cops.

No. Unbelievably BACs that high do occur and in some cases they can still
utter words and have some movement. However this woman was passed out as are
most at those levels, and of course many of them die.

News to me too. In my 15 years as a jailer, the highest I saw was .48
and still climbing. The rule of the AMA with which many jails comply
is anything over .25 must go to a hospital until they come down.

Aside. A common misconception is that habitual drunks get the DTs.
Nope. They get the DTs when they sober up.

"Engle"

Not a Mexican name. This article doesn't mention "mMxican" nor do
other articles. Pictures of the perp show red hair and pale skin.

Hard to believe, but S&DDAM appears to be EVEN MORE delusional than
her regular cross-posted net-loon trash.

Just as a technical note: Analysis devices that are designed to
accurately distinguish level around the legal lime (0.08? Is that
correct) are going to be wildly inaccurate.

Of course, wild inaccuracy can be better than the stuff S&DDAM usually
comes up with.
