They'll be releasing a cube that's white, with a red cross through it. It's going to be called the "Laughing Stock".

So - at the end of the group stage - eight groups, each group six matches, that's a total of 48 matches - of which you've watched about 24 so far. If you're typical, that makes about 1bn people worldwide - one in seven of the world's population. To be frank, I don't believe that. 26bn worldwide by the end of the whole thing, p'raps. Another 16 matches, none of which clash, so I expect you'll watch 'em all. Again - assume you're typical. You've seen 40 matches, that turns that cumulative 26bn into "only" 650m. A bit over twice the population of the US, against the original cumulative of nearly four times the entire global population. So - your original guess of "several" billion. Half the world's population? A third?

I'm looking at the weather forecast for Hell, and it's considerably warmer than zero deg c. |
