No, a fraction of a micrometre, approximately 0.1um as far as makes no difference. Putting that in context, Intel are getting very excited about their 0.45um processors, which have a gate length of 0.45um. IBM has produced some experimental chips with 0.1um gate length but to do so required electron beam lithography. It's an impressive display of fuckwittery from "baggy" that he considers it worthwhile to quote distances to an accuracy that implies no more than 1000 atomic diameters.
