Actually the 'mindless breeding' goes away with economic freedom. But
economic freedom isn't what environmentalists offer. They offer very
strict economic controls for the benefit of the controllers and those
close to them.

Some of the policies of environmentalism are very clearly fascist. An
example would be the Al Gore carbon traders camp. A bunch of insiders
looking for a scam to make a bunch of money while having industry
privately owned but government controlled. This is very good for the
insiders, as it makes sure that outsiders can't get ahead.

The rest of policies... well the fascist part is the least bad.
