I know about sound and engine noise thanks. Unless a truck is louder INSIDE
the cab than it is outside then I don't see how he could possible not have
heard the sound unless he had his radio up loud.

Believe me , they make a LOT of noise when scraping along the road.

Well if you think about it , the ones used on motoways and A roads can't be
your normal lightweight cone otherwise the first truck or bus to go past would
blow them all over the place. Unfortunately this rather obvious point -
especially given its noticable weight - hadn't occured to me before I kicked
it.
