I'm looking for a sensible and reliable fun car for around 10/15k

I'm thinking of a saab aero petrol convertible auto (around an 06) and a
BMW 3 series petrol convertible manual (heard of auto and diesel horrors)

at this age is reliability an issue - the lower mileage cars I've looked at
are serviced only every 2 years, as I'll be buying from main dealers I'll
accept the higher prices in return for more "safety" but will depreciation
still be quite high after say 3 years?

Any other reliable fun cars ? - not keen on french motors or chav motors
(gold alloys:)

I suggest an MX5 roadster, a Honda CR-V or a Range Rover V8 diesel.
If you get the latter, make sure you get it before it is made
available to the public.

What? A rich successful businessman like you with a fleet of brand new
Luckshury(sic) cars is looking for an old nail?

<Meldrew>

I don't believe it!

Where will you find room in the garage for yet another car Toomy?
There's the V8 Range Rover diesel that you bought a year before it went
on sale, the brand new Honda CRV, the MX5 and all the other fantasy
motors that you have blethered about over the years.

Oh no! Don't say you are coming clean and admitting that you were
talking bollocks and you've only got enough dosh for a banger!

Say it's not true!

HOORAY, HOORAY

The TROLL previously known as Brian Ws' post contains something relating to
cars - usually its just venom directed towards people

Hi Filthy

still fighting old battles?

we can all do that - retired to live next door to Charlie Chaplin over 30
years ago is claiming to be in his 50s and now as chairman and chief (sic)
of Firth Consulting or is it Malloc resolving any issues with Government
computer systems(glad someone is prepared to take the blame! :) , a man who
always lived where Doug mentioned an anti-car story so that he knew
better, blah blah blah

Isn't it time to grow up ? - I won't ask Brian the same question as sadly
he appears to be "damaged"

A man who has the same beliefs at 60 as he had at 20 has wasted 40 years of
life

Buy an early 06 "gas guzzler" and you only pay 215 PA not 400+ and a car
worth that much I'm happy to leave anywhere and not worry too much

anyway have to pay for a little place in Spain - hope you followed my advice
and piled into shares when I advised - It was the bottom of the market
wasn't it?
If you believed me then in just over a year you'd have made 40% plus -
actually hoped you DIDN'T !
