You need to modify the central locking.
That will fix it.

The car may be unlocking itself because it thinks that one of the doors
isn't shut properly - do yourself a favor and just make sure that they
/are/ shut properly. The system may sense this from the courtesy light
switches (easy) or switches inside the door locking/latch gubbins (tricky).

It may also be unlocking itself if one of the central locking motors is
tired or the locking mechanism in one of the doors is a bit stiff.

I know that Peugeots 306s (essentially the same car as a Xsara) had a
prediliction for breaking wires in the door jamb - the flexible bit that
connects the electrics in the door to the rest of the wiring loom.
Especially on the drivers door. This can cause all sorts of electrical
madness.

If you haven't already, try asking on alt.autos.citroen or
alt.autos.peugeot.

Sorry I have no idea how to go about disabling the system. Because of
the way many Peugeots/Citroens seem to be wired, pulling the fuse will
probably also disable the rear left indicator and BBC radio 1, 3 and 5
on the stereo.
