From: Anne Onime on 30 May 2010 07:30 I don't beleive it, those pricks stuffed up a top kill. They should of done this weeks ago. They don't want to block the well, they still want to get the oil out. The cost of drilling a well is more important to them than wrecking the economy and health on Louisiana. Makes me ashamed to be an oil industry worker.

It seems more likely that stopping it is just very difficult. Sylvia.

The whole thing is very disturbing. How do you block a "riser" which is being fed by a vast well of pressurised oil? We can only hope they have quick and effective success. Jason

They caused the largest environmental problem witnessed in the US. More importantly, yo should wait until the litigation begins. Exxon managed to drive the final payment to those affected to a pitifully tiny amount. If BP does the same, then they deserve the same condemnation. Finally, however, the real blame lies with the Bush administration, because they allowed offshore drillers to take shortcuts. This present problem would have never (probably) occured, had the EPA advice been followed by the government (Bush) at the time. BTW: That advice would have cost a miniscule US$500,000.00 per drill rig. -- Trevor Wilson www.rageaudio.com.au
