You already had at least one pedal cycle. Why did you think you needed an
electric bike given that it increases the demand for electricity and thus
contributes to the need for more power stations?

I don't think they want to be ignored. It was you who singled out the
one around Sellafield. Do you have evidence of a proven link between
Sellafiled and a Leukemia cluter? How do you explain the other
Leukemia clusters that are not associated with a nuclear plant?

Planes are more efficient than trains for long journeys. Internal
flights in the UK should be banned and money spent on fast rail lines.

And what aboput the environmental impact of producing and disposing of
the batteries?

Even if there is a small causal link I think most normal people (note - this
doesn't include foaming at the mouth eco-hippies) would agree that a small
rise in cancers its a damn site preferable to uncontrolled global warming.
