But if people didn't insist on buying such frivolous items such as battery
powered bicycles then the question of disposal doesn't arise does it Doug?

There is also the question of the effect on the people and localities from
where the ore is mined. Do you have any idea of the devastation being caused
in those places Doug and that they are already running out and alternative
sites will have to be found?

How can you claim to be eco friendly when you buy such an unnecessary item?

But you claim not to travel anywhere, what hill do you need to get up?

The only thing that's typical is your behaviour, "Do as I say, not as I do".

Only if you have somewhere to store it.

Yes, but you can go almost anywhere in a car, and you can't on a bike (not in
a reasonable time, anyway).

You could say the same for running on a smooth rail, which is one reason
why the railways took over from the canals. You have to accelerate a lot
of water to move a boat at consyant speed. Accelerating air is a lot
easier.

But not, as a rule, cheaper for a passenger to sail than fly. I would be
very happy to be contradicted (by someone with evidence), but my
understanding is that a ferry uses at least as much fuel per passenger
mile as an aircraft.

No-one has ever proved that cycle helmets make cycling any safer at the
population level, and anyway cycling is about as safe per mile as walking.

A Lithium battery has a much shorter life than a lead-acid battery.

So can lead.

You're still a brainless cunting fuckwit I see. And once again you have
morphed to escape the kill file. You really are the lowest sort of net
