I don't know about John's, but I had one for a short time and it'd rev to
about 9 million rpm with a powerband that came on like a sledgehammer in the
chest :)

Can't remember the exact figures but from memory its around 21lt/100klm
but of course it varies from track to track.
The only bike I've owned was the predecessor to the RD250 (can't
remember the model) and it was thirsty for a small bike but it had
significantly more power than any of the 250 4 strokes of the same era.

RGV250's are like that, nothing much happens till about 4000rpm then all
of a sudden your off like a bullet:-)
