Sure there is. We play I spy and the usual stuff. But dvds are great too.
FWIW we have 2 6 year olds and a 7 year old. All boys.

I did a trip to Melbourne and back with our first two, both under 6yo,
Took weeks to get all those children's songs out of my head
just books, games and singing for the entire week but they hardly
complained or fought the whole time, No such thing as car DVDs then

DVDs are no good for children who suffer motion sickness
We do use an in car DVD for some trips now though, but not often

Was in JB HiFi the other day and they are selling the iPAD with the
typical over hyped display and at the end they had some Chinese knock
offs running some type of Linux for 1/4 the price. was funny watching
the "Apple Expert" running about hyping up the iPAD to people only to
have them pay $200 for the Chinese version

Mine are now 28 and 25, both have left home and life is back to normal:-)
