better fuel consumption etc etc....But hey...You were a Holden
man...you needed to believe what they said.

I owned a VS Commodore at the same time...It really was a bucket of

Well my Father has, for as long as I can remember always kept his cars for
10 years then traded for a new one, He bought one of the early Magnas, the
wedge shaped one with the 2.6 Astron II and crappy auto, it is the first car
he ever had in living memory that he traded after 3 years and the first to
be traded for a non Chrysler/Mitsubishi, he was so disgusted that he bought
a Mazda 626.

I'm not surprised, those Suzuki based Barinas were excellent little runners
and uber-reliable.
