You are probably checking too soon. There seems to be a window in time after
a post where if you check for it, you will never see your post. If you wait
a few minutes after posting, then check you can see your new post, but its
like the headers and the bodies of posts are held differently on the server
and if you happen to check for new posts during the period between the
header being saved and the body being saved, you don't see your own post. I
discovered this through trial and error, so the above is based on my
experience, not necessarily fact!

IIAC from the early days with Demon Internet I have a feeling that it

The funny thing is, that this has happened before, just a couple of posts
