Unfortunately, that is inherent in any government regardless of
ideology and would be even in a libertarian government. Government
services are enforced indirect expenditures, be they national defense,
welfare, health care, public health services such as the FDA, roads,
transit, schools, ad infinitum. The basic question is which goods and
services should be purchased directly with no government coercion and
rules as to amount and which should be purchased indirectly and
provided according to some set of rules.
