if people went there, it was *slowly*. The early colonisers used wind
power. Now, some people arrange consecutive meetings in Tokyo and New
York.

There's no problem going long distances if you do it *slowly* Using
ships (including airships). Each step change in speed has led to a
step change in carbon production.
