I'm sure there are rare circumstances, but in general the UK water
supply is as good as anything out of a bottle - better in many cases.

That's an odd analogy. I'm not really sure what you mean. Anyway, UK
tap-water is as good as anything most of the time. There are always
exceptions, but they're statistically unimportant.
