damon Hill almost won in an Arrows (it broke down in the lead near the
end of the race) Alonso has been fast in slow cars. Shumacher put
masses of input into improving Ferrari, its a team sport in which the
driver is very important.

I'm afraid so.

R4 report this am was really poor. They gave an impression of Ferrari
dominance, when in fact Vettel, whom they did not mention (did mention
the rest of the top 7 or so) and Red Bull would have won without a
breakdown.

I think that watching paint drying would have been more interesting
than watching a load of top GP drivers conserving their tyres and
fuel, and not getting close to anyone in case their engines
overheated, on a boring looking circuit! (Yawn!)

The only real interest was could Michael Schumacher catch Vettel's
ailing Red Bull before the end of the race, but he didn't come close!
And maybe if the Lotus cars would finish! Otherwise it was just a
procession.

At least with refuelling stops, drivers and teams could use different
strategies and you got the occasional pit fire, or driver taking off
with the fuel hose still attached, to liven things up a bit.

I wonder what they could do? Removing the aerodynamics would be so
obvious they will not do it.
