Well I hope they're good, I've no experience of them, but the long flexi
arm ones are bloody brilliant for semi-accesible hoses. They're also £30
though.

They look like they will do the job, after all the frustration with one a
few days a go I'd try anything. What a pain of a design they are.

A pair of large water pump pliers work for many of these
spring clips but access can be a problem. It's worth
replacing them with standard Jubilee ('worm drive') clips.

They're a pain. I use a pair of adjustable pliers, like this one:

the jaws in the teeth grip the two ends of the spring, making it less
likely to slip off, and the pliers can be adjusted for different sizes
of spring. I don't use them "end-on", but "side-on" IYSWIM.

Also useful for the same clips used on washing machines, dishwashers,
etc.
