He needs a little prod once in a while, just to keep him in the real world.

Hmm "used to be one of the UK's greatest..." now it's full of adenoidal
Brummies, twats in caravans and bobble-hatted bastards. I think I'll be
moving again soon now this place is another sodding Irrational Park.

FWIW, I quite like David Couthard's place just outside t'Peak District
but the Shrigley Hall hotel is a complete and utter dump and every
member of the staff should be taken out and shot. Or minced starting
with the feet.

Well there's a certain type of person who can't cope with hotels. They
can't cope with eating in a restaurant or being waited upon usually
because they have no social graces. They like to travel like snails
carting around their own shell. In Kevins case, I suspect his wife has
never had a holiday. They go away and she still has to cook, clean, iron
his shirts etc.

When we do jollys Mrs F. likes to have someone else do all the chores,
so she can have a holiday as well.

And we've got to stay in some cracking hotels in spectacular locations
just by turning up late and asking if there are any rooms free. Unlike
the UK with its "rack rate" scam. Most European hotels will discount for
walk-in customers - because if they don't the room will stay empty.
