From: Kiteflyer on 28 Jun 2010 10:05 I've always had 5 door cars and been able to get cheap roofracks. Went to Halfords to price a roofrack for my new 3 door, and they said the only one that would fit a 3 door is a Thule at £175! I'm not paying that for a roofrack. They said it was hard to get one for a 3 door as they had to be specially modified. Anyone know where I can find a cheaper one?

Nothing mentions them being specifally for 5 door or 3 door cars, but apparently standard roofracks won't fit a 3 door.

I bought a roof box and bars (separately) for my previous car there, and then bars for the new one, all for much cheaper prices. You might have to specify what the car is, though. Amazon have loads, but tend not to say whether they are for 5 or 3 door. Argos do a roofrack, but again, they don't say which it's for, so will probably be for a 5 door. It's for a Corsa. |
